HELPFUL HINTS
Wait at least 1 hour after delivery of the fridge before turning it on (the gases need to settle). If the fridge was transported lying down, wait 5 hours before turning on the fridge.
• If fridge will not turn on, make sure power is turned on at mains (if you have moved into new house/unit).
• Fridges take 24 hours minimum to get to the correct temperature (longer on very hot days). Do not keep opening the door to check, as the fridge cannot get cold. Place a glass of tap water into the fridge and check 6 hours later to see if cold. If cold, the fridge is working. (It is difficult to gauge if the fridge is working if there is nothing in it and you keep checking by placing your hand on the shelves).
• If the door is opening independently or not closing correctly then adjust the feet at the bottom (front) of the fridge so the fridge is leaning back very slightly.
• If the fridge is getting damp inside, or fan is rattling this generally indicates icing – in 90% of cases icing is caused by leaking seals drawing in air, and most seal leaks are caused by un-even floors and/or badly adjusted feet causing a twist in the cabinets when loaded. Check feet and adjust if necessary and check all seals to see if they have become folded incorrectly or have been compromised in some way.
• Too much detergent can cause excessive suds with the Front Loaders & newer model Top Loaders. Excessive suds can cause low spin speeds, poor rinsing & smell from motor. Excessive suds can also cause the machine to overload and stop. Purchase the correct detergent for your machine (front / top). Do not exceed the detergent manufacturer’s recommendations. Excessive suds DO NOT improve washability.
• If washing machine is leaking check hose connections (on washing machine and tap).
